About GIP

A product company that became an engineering firm

Founded in 2011 by Jonathan and Raymond Giles, GIP grew from a single product idea into a professional industrial engineering firm. The instinct to build things that work has never left.

Our story

From one product idea to a full-service engineering firm

GIP was founded in 2011 by Jonathan and Raymond Giles with the idea of engineering a simple door stop for fire departments. The product didn’t sell well — but along the way a need for professional engineering became clear, and GIP stepped into that role.

Fifteen years later we are an industrial engineering and fabrication firm serving plants across the Southeast — a full-service engineering firm — mechanical and structural design, detailing, 3D scanning, fabrication management and project management, delivered by one accountable team. Our motto is simple: engineering the future, one partnership at a time.

How we serve you

Professional. Responsive. Adaptive.

Three core values, learned over fifteen years on plant floors. They guide how we hire, how we work and how we treat every call — this is what they look like from your side of the table.

01

Professional

We do what we say, and our work shows it.

Every proposal, drawing set, RFI and transmittal that leaves GIP follows the same standard, so you always know what you’re looking at and what happens next. Commitments are kept, and the stamped drawings are backed by the engineer who signed them.

02

Responsive

When you call GIP, you reach an engineer or project manager.

Most firms go quiet after the first call. We don’t. Whoever answers owns your question: if it isn’t their project, they take the details, get it to the right person and tell you when you’ll hear back. Missed calls are returned the same business day.

03

Adaptive

We solve the problem in front of you, not just the one on the drawing.

Field conditions change and drawings are wrong more often than anyone admits. When a lifting-device job needed better as-built data, we added 3D scanning to get it right. We’d rather change course mid-project than deliver something that doesn’t fit.

Our promise

“We hear you. We’re on it.”

When you call GIP, you reach a person who knows your project — not an account manager, not a voicemail tree. Every member of our team is trusted to talk with clients, and every one of them represents that promise.

  • A live engineer or project manager on the phone
  • Missed calls returned the same business day
  • A named callback time whenever we need to route your question

Our mission

To honor and glorify God through faithful stewardship and by supporting individuals in discovering and fulfilling their God-given purpose.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — Colossians 3:23

Our vision

Consistently provide exceptional engineering solutions to our customers by always striving for excellence, professionalism, responsiveness and innovation in all that we do.

We give back to the communities where we operate, supporting local organizations and businesses with project management and professional engineering services.
