Project Management

Smooth execution from start to finish

Our project management services ensure the smooth and successful execution of every project — scope, schedule, budget and coordination handled by people who understand what it takes to engineer and build it.

What we manage

Engineers running the schedule

Our project managers are Six Sigma trained, certified drone pilots and 3D scanner operators who came up through CAD and the field. They speak the language of the plant, the shop and the drawing.

  • Scope definition and preliminary engineering
  • Schedule development and tracking
  • Budget management and cost control
  • Vendor and contractor coordination
  • Permitting and submittal management
  • Progress reporting and documentation
  • Commissioning and close-out

Our approach

Predictable delivery for unpredictable environments

One plan, one owner

A single accountable project manager from kickoff to close-out, backed by the engineering team.

Six Sigma discipline

Structured problem solving and process control keep quality high and surprises low.

Community and local partners

We're dedicated to giving back to the communities where we operate, supporting local organizations and businesses with project management and professional engineering services.

Documentation you can audit

Clear records of decisions, changes and approvals for management, insurers and regulators.

How it works

How a GIP-managed project runs

The same person is on it from the first walkdown to the last sign-off, and they can read the drawing they are holding you to.

  1. Scope and preliminary engineering

We walk the site, agree what the project actually has to do, and put enough engineering behind it to price and plan it honestly.

  2. Schedule and budget

One schedule everybody works to, tracked against real progress, with costs followed as they land rather than at the end.

  3. Permitting and submittals

Submittals, approvals and permit documents prepared and chased, so an approval never becomes the thing holding the job up.

  4. Vendors and contractors

Fabricators, concrete crews, riggers and electricians coordinated against one sequence and one set of released drawings.

  5. Commissioning and close-out

Final inspection, documentation and sign-off by the engineer who has been on the project the whole way.

Need someone to own the project?

Bring us in early. The best time to add a project manager is before the schedule is set.
